One of my richest learning experiences has been leading mediation in a large, long-term labour dispute. It was a very complex mediation and I learned a lot from the legal counsel we worked with. It was also a huge responsibility to represent the company and make the right decision, but at HUL they give you that kind of authority and ownership right from the start. Q: When you took the management training, how was it different from a typical corporate law job? What skills did you acquire and what was your role that distinguished you from a purely legal background? The MBA from Cornell University, with its strength in technology and consumer products, seemed like a perfect fit. Cornell`s focus on collaboration, immersion learning, and ethical leadership also aligned with my own values. Their small class size and flexibility, allowing me to study a number of elective law courses, sealed the deal for me! I also helped ensure various legal regulations at the factory level. But a few months later, Unilever (HUL) came to campus. When I saw their presentation, I was amazed at the kind of work their internal legal profiles offered. I loved the energy of the team and immediately wanted to explore the company. Everyone was free to apply for the internship according to RCC rules, so I immediately raised my hand. After the selection and interview process, Unilever offered me an internship as part of the Unilever Leaders Internship Programme.
