Our rental program starts on the first day of the semester and rentals (iClicker, graphs and simple calculators) are due on the last day of classes of the same semester. Sixty-Plus Elder Law Clinic – (517) 372-3484The Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clinic provides legal aid to individuals 60 years of age and older, primarily in Ingham, Eaton or Clinton County. There are no income guidelines for this program, but priority is given to those who need it most socially and economically and to those who have problems with public services. Legal Services of South Central Michigan offers a full range of free legal services for those who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer. Legal Services lawyers advise, represent clients in court and help low-income people know and assert their rights. Legal aid provides services only in civil cases (no crimes or traffic offences). Legal Services also provides information and training to avoid legal problems. The goal of the clinic is to provide low-income taxpayers who have cases or controversies with the IRS or who are not applicants with low-cost, high-quality legal aid and to inform individuals for whom English is a second language of their rights and obligations under the Internal Revenue Code. We will arrange meetings with clients at other times if necessary. The tax clinic also provides essential tax legal services to indigent Michigan taxpayers.
