At the MUCD, we believe that one of the main aspects of stopping the phenomenon of insecurity and promoting collective well-being is the strengthening of the rule of law. This can be achieved when all people follow the rules and encourage others to abide by them. Therefore, our efforts to promote and practice a culture of legality aim to provide people with elements that promote the acquisition of knowledge, so that they change their attitude and develop skills that promote their voluntary participation in different spaces of their daily lives and with the authorities. Consolidating the rule of law is a complex task that requires more than just drafting laws and building institutions to ensure compliance. The behaviour of every citizen is also important for strengthening the rule of law. To facilitate the understanding of the above, Diagram 1 is shown. The structure of the culture of legality, which explains how individual behaviour influences the rule of law and how we manage to strengthen it, and goes through a cycle of seven elements: Me, My values, My behaviour, Citizen participation, Democratic values, Culture of legality and the rule of law.
