Legal Metrology (Packaged and Goods) Rules, 2011, Rule 27 requires the registration of all importers, manufacturers and packers of packaged goods. Depending on where the import or pressing takes place, the federal government`s Director of Legal Metrology or the State Noida Legal Metrology Registration Controller should be contacted. The following rules apply regardless of where registration is made.
